TEST-FIT, UNVERIFIED — staged package; release HOLD Source revision: 2ea1970; geometry: e478a46. Experimental 2.4 mm arms / R1.0 rims. Frozen export manifest: ed3d18f/e67586a; independent coherence review: 3829537. These six small pieces are **test pieces**, not the organizer. They're there to check our measurements against your actual radio, charging plug and antenna before you print anything large. Everything was designed from published numbers and assumptions, so **none of it has been checked against your real gear yet**. That's the point of this test. ## Print **Not printer-ready yet. Please check before printing:** we haven't confirmed your exact printer model or how much of its build area you can actually use, and we haven't confirmed your nozzle size (we assumed 0.4 mm). Your slicer and printer are the real check. - Files: `coupon_A1`, `coupon_A2`, `coupon_A3` (radio collars) and `coupon_B1`, `coupon_B2`, `coupon_B3` (antenna clips). STL or STEP. - Material: ASA, with your usual ASA settings (enclosure, brim if you normally use one). We've assumed a 0.4 mm nozzle; tell us if yours is different. - Orientation: as the files come, flat side down and open side up. We designed them to print without supports, but that's only our intent: nobody has checked it in a slicer or on a printer yet. Please look at the slicer preview, especially the teardrop-shaped hole and the clip arms, and add supports if it shows any. Two tiny spots lean slightly past 45°: on the collars, about 46° over less than 1 mm² where the bottom chamfer meets the corners; on the clips, about 48° over about 2 mm² where the clip arms end. We expect them to print fine, but that's untested. - Each piece is under about 82 × 27 × 25 mm. - The small dimples (1, 2 or 3) tell you which version is which. ## Test 1: radio collars (A1, A2, A3) Take the radio with the extended battery and the belt clip off. Lay it **screen up** in each collar, so the battery back rests on the two ridges. The round hole should be on the side with the charging jack. For each collar, tell us: - Does it drop in freely, sit snug, need force, or not fit at all? - Does it rattle side to side? - Does it lift out easily with one hand? ## Test 2: charging plug With the radio sitting in your favourite collar, push the yellow-tipped charging plug through the round hole into the jack. - Does it go fully in? - Is the hole lined up with the jack? If not, which way is it off, and by roughly how many mm? - Does the plug's body rub the edge of the hole? - Which side of the radio is the jack on (left or right, looking at the screen)? The collars assume one particular side; if they're mirrored for your radio, tell us. ## Test 3: antenna clips (B1, B2, B3) Press the **thick plastic base** of the long whip antenna down into each clip, threaded end toward the closed end. Try gently the first time; do not force it to click in. - Does it click in by hand? - Does it come back out by hand, lifting it straight up (not pulling along its length)? - Once in, does it spin or slide? - Any white stress marks or cracks on the clip arms, especially low down where the arm meets the base? The arms are 2.4 mm thick. We don't know whether ASA flexes enough for this snap, so this matters a lot. If it won't click in without forcing it, stop: that's a useful answer too. - Try it the way you'd really do it, holding the whole antenna, not just the base. Does the long flexible part get in the way or lever the base out? - Check by eye that the metal thread doesn't touch anything. ## Measurements while you're at it If you have calipers (mm): - **Charging plug:** the width (or diameter) and length of the plastic body behind the metal tip, and the cable thickness. Is the plug straight, or L-shaped (right-angle)? - **Radio:** width across the battery, and width across the side buttons; front-to-back depth at the charging jack. - **Antenna:** does the 380 mm length include the metal thread, or does it start at the plastic base? - **Printer:** the exact model and the bed size you can actually use. ## Photos Please send a photo of each collar with the radio in it, one with the charger plugged in, and one antenna clip with the antenna in it. Send the results back through Sam. Your answers set the clearances for the real organizer. ## Known issues: experimental antenna snap The approved 2.4 mm design has rough calculated arm-strain estimates of **1.88%, 1.69% and 1.50%** for B1, B2 and B3. These use a simple tip-loaded cantilever model (about 0.3 mm deflection per arm and free lengths 7.6, 8.0 and 8.5 mm), not an ASA test or a safe-strain limit. The concave arm root concentrates stress; ASA may whiten or crack. **Snap in gently on the first attempt. Stop if it needs force or shows whitening/cracks.** No full-antenna insertion/removal or durability guarantee is made. Frozen-file coherence has passed independent review. This staged download package remains on HOLD pending final package clearance.
